The piece was written as part of Loadbang Ensemble’s initiative Plays Well With Others, in which the adventurous quartet (Adrian Sandi [bass clarinet], Andy Kozar [trumpet], Jeffrey Gavett [baritone voice], William Lang [trombone]) joined forces with a string ensemble.

The individual string parts of twelve-member chamber group are written for individually, so that single phrases may cascade about the ensemble, until eventually aligning with the four members of Loadbang.
The piece was premiered February 2020 in Albuquerque, NM at Chatter and was performed and recorded the subsequent week at the Hebrew Tabernacle of Washington Heights.
